UHF-Band (648-712MHz) Survey Spectrum Notes

The 50cm spectrum is dominated by the CH 46 Mt Ulandra Digital TV transmission, 652-659MHz.
There are also a number of Analogue TV transmissions, of which, the identified stations in the survey spectrum plots, are listed below, along with the Digital TV station at CH 46.

In the survey plots with a western view, which is in the direction of the main observatory tower, from the RFI monitoring tower, the following frequencies were detectable:
666.67MHz, 674.67MHz, 678.35MHz, 681.24MHz, 682.04MHz, 683.34MHz, 685.73MHz, 688.02MHz, 696.34MHz, 700.00MHz, 702.22MHz, 704.00MHz

More than likely, these emission frequencies are self generated RFI, from the observatory site. Near term measurements will help to determine whether these emission frequencies are attributed to the main observatory tower, or due to the site infrastructure buildings, ie, administration building, Visitor's Centre building etc.
