Dr. Geoff Garrett, with his family and guests, went on a "hayride" on the dish. In the recent film, "THE DISH", riding the dish is referred to as going on a hayride (?). Many previous guests and dignitaries have ridden the dish, and popped through the hatch way (Governers General, Prime Ministers and even Chief Executives). Dr. Garrett was not to be denied that thrill. He also, climbed the ladder to the focus cabin, to inspect the Multibeam Receiver. Despite the slightly inclement weather, it was an enjoyable experience for all.
