Fault Reporting

The ATNF Fault Report system uses a JIRA database. There are two simple ways to submit a fault report:

  • Use the "Submit fault report" link on the "observing" tab of the Observing PORTAL to open a custom Web form and enter the requested details, OR
  • Send an email to parkes.support@csiro.au,
    • Click the link to open your default mail client or copy the address into your preferred email client.
    • In the subject write a brief summary of the problem.
    • In the body of the email, describe the request or problem with as much information as possible, including details like:
      • Your observing location
      • OPAL project ID
      • Time problem occurred (include the timezone)
      • Your contact phone number
      • Screenshots (if necessary) can be added as email attachments

One of our team will contact you if more details are needed.

For staff or affiliates with a CSIRO NEXUS account, or collaborators with a CERA (formerly PUMA) account, another alternative is to submit the fault report directly through the Jira Web interface here: Parkes Support JIRA Page (login required)

If you are interested in getting a CERA account, contact a member of our staff.
