2010OctS Observing Schedule Release Notes

The 2010OCT semester schedule for Parkes has two shutdown periods.

The first, from Oct 6-19, is primarily for commissioning of the new RF switching matrix, which will enable "recabling" between standard observing set-ups to be carried out quickly and automatically.

The second, from Feb 28-Mar 24, is primarily for a major overhaul of the telescope MCP (Manual Control Panel).

Daylight saving will start in NSW on Sunday 3 October 2010 at 2:00 am, when clocks will be put forward one hour. Daylight saving will end in NSW on Sunday 3 April 2011 at 3:00 am, when clocks will be put back one hour. The text and graphical versions of the schedule are in AEST. During the daylight saving period, local "clock time" is one hour ahead of AEST, so 7am AEST is 8am daylight saving time.

Version 1 of the schedule was released on Sep 2. Version 1b was released on Sep 7, with minor adjustments to the schedule around Nov 8/9 and Nov 26/27.
